An autism diagnostic evaluation is a comprehensive assessment conducted by a licensed psychologist to determine whether a child meets criteria for autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other related conditions.
Evaluations are completed by a licensed psychologist with expertise in autism and developmental assessments. All evaluations follow current clinical and ethical standards.
The evaluation typically includes parent interviews, standardized assessment tools like the ADOS-2, behavioral observations, developmental history review, and a comprehensive written report with diagnostic conclusions and recommendations.
No. Families always have the right to choose their ABA provider. If requested, B Above can provide referrals and support in connecting you with services that best fit your family’s needs.
In addition to autism, evaluations may identify or rule out other conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, or other developmental or behavioral concerns, when clinically appropriate.
